They were two warm weeks, I worked a lot, had my birthday, my father’s birthday, went on a two-and-a-half-day training for my job, visited Mira’s sister and her family, led a church’s small group and did a lot of other things. Yesterday was father’s day. Rosa surprised me with her first self-made gift: a picture of her in a frame that she decorated with colourful stickers… isn’t that sweet!

The last week we have been enjoying our house and garden thoroughly. It was superb weather, and we had a couple of events like Mira’s birthday last Saturday and a barbecue with my colleagues in our backyard. Yesterday we went to Gerrit Kwantes of Agapè. He invited us to talk about coaching and mentoring once again. It was good to be there, we were about 12 alltogether. The idea is to have monthly meetings starting September in which we discuss in-depth issues focussing on leadership and personal, spiritual development.

Today Rosa went to pre-school for the first time! It went really well, she did not have to cry and she seemed to enjoy it. She recently asked Mira on several occasions if her friend Anna, Pieter or Rick could come over to play. So, we guess school comes at the right time!
