Taking a stand
I am furious about the so-called liberals in the European Parliament, opposing the position of Commissioner of Rucco Buttiglione because of his morals and beliefs. I think it is purely discriminating. Buttiglione might be a little naive in the way he handled the confirmation hearing, but he is clear about the separation of personal beliefs and politics – which is more than can be said about a lot of other politicians who seem to pursue their own agenda. I heard one of the Dutch EuroParliament members say that Buttiglione has beliefs opposite to those of her self, and that therefore he was unsuited for the job.- The majority of the Dutch people support the un-asked for distribution of a magazine on homosexuality to all highschools, subsidised by the government. I don’t!
