Old friends (2)
Met up with one of my former directors and his partner from a company I used to work for. He is probably the one that influenced me most in my professional development. He’s an extremely bright guy, and I’ve always enjoyed working with him. He was not familiar with our ‘way of living’ (raising personal support) so we talked a lot about it. He and his wife kept on asking questions as they seemed truly intruiged by this.
We also talked about the challenge to stay in tune professionally with the world around, so that there is always a broader perspective than just Agapè and the possibility to develop. I see a paradigm shift from a lifetime commitment where someone leaves everything behind to go working in the Kingdom of God, to a more specific task- or job-oriented commitment, so it was a very relevant discussion.
